Garnier Skin Whitening with Lemon £4.25

For many the benefits of the lemon, as a natural skin lightener, and its ability to remove, rather than conceal dark circles under the eyes remains largely untapped.  We live in a fast paced world, where one’s appearance is paramount, and so the time needed to apply natural remedies is sadly lacking.

The woman or man who works in a demanding environment has little time to engage in seemingly frivolous pampering sessions when the priority is to keep the money rolling in each month or year. Yet if one approaches this issue sensibly it is possible to be rid of those unattractive dark circles, rather than just concealing them.  After all concealer is not a permanent alternative; whenever you cleanse, those dark circles can still be seen by you, and those who live in your household.

There can be many causes for dark circles under the eyes.  Poor diet, too much Vitamin A, it could be hereditary, or simply a part of the aging process.  Yet it is possible to be rid of them while continuing to use your concealer, or make up. It simply takes the introduction of two simple applications to your lifestyle habits to accomplish this confidence building feat, and maintain it.

Many Benefits of the Lemonlemon cup

The Lemon and Vitamin C are the foremost and cheapest natural skin lighteners you can get.

Lemon and Vitamin C:

Method 1

  •  Squeeze lemon juice in a small bowl and add an equal part of water.
  • Apply apply to the under eye area. leave for 5-10 minutes.
  • Wash off with clear water then dab dry.  Apply your concealer or make-up.
  • Repeat 3 times a week.

This process takes time so be patient.

Because lemon juice may dry the skin, apply a tip of moisturizer to the area.  Remember the under-eye area is not only sensitive, but is usually the thinnest skin on the face so avoid massaging this area for too long.

Vitamin C

This vitamin is great for removing any color imperfections.  With consistent use, new layers of skin will be revealed in some weeks after the treatment with Vitamin C will be whiter and in most cases will have the same color as the rest of the skin.

Vitamin K

Method 2

Taking a daily vitamin can reduce skin discolorations like dark circles. The recommended dosage of Vitamin K is 80mg for adult males and 65mg for adult females. Vitamin K is not to be taken by those who are on medication such as Warfarin or Coumadin.

For those who might prefer a Vitamin K cream, first ensure that it contains antioxidants that help to shrink bags and prevent damage to the skin and capillaries.  Effective antioxidants include Vitamin C, milk and carrots. Creams containing carrot extracts tend to have a yellow color, thus helping to conceal  dark circles while addressing the problem.
